One day, the week before the first hunt, princess Kiara approached the border of Outlands. Once again, she managed to get rid of Timon and Pumba and enjoy the freedom she was traveling here. It happened that when seeing the border, she wanted to cross it, remembering that she met Kovu. As she decided, she did. However, Outlands did not meet Kovu, but Nuka, who attacked her and defeated her after a brief fight. Lion forced a young lioness to spend the night with him, threatening to kill her. Kiara agreed because she did not want to die, and she did not think there could be anything serious about it. But she was wrong. At dawn, he lion let her go, and the princess returned to her worried parents, not to mention the entire incident. She said she was going, and tiredness made her fall asleep, forgetting the whole world.
 A month later, she learned that she was pregnant and weeping, telling her parents and Kovu the truth about her father's baby. Kovu promised Kiara that she would not give up and that they were bringing up the baby together. Simba and Nala also promised their daughter support, and Simba announced that baby of Nuka would inherit the throne as it is the oldest. Kovu did not like it - he was king and reigned with Kiara, so he wanted his child to take over. Simba, however, said that this is the tradition: the eldest child of the rightful heir to the throne of the Pride Lands becomes the successor of the throne, regardless of his father. A few months later Kiara gave birth to a son she called Sharifu. The young prince grew and grew well, surrounded by the caring care of mother and stepfather. Nobody but Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu did not know that Sharifu was a bastard and everyone, including the prince, considered him the son of a king. The cub was curious, brave and friendly, and he had a lot of respect for the rules and never broke the rules. The only cubs in the pride at that time were his aunt and uncle, Kishujaa and Kishairi, and the prince had no other playmates. But one day it changed. Sharifu walking the savannah so he chasing a butterfly to hunt him, he found himself on the Outlands. He met a hyena puppy of his own age, a male named Chafu, son of Janja and Jasiri. After initial distrust they became friends and from now on secretly they all meet and have fun. There seemed to be nothing to separate them. But one day it was announced that Queen Kiara was pregnant again and Sharifu had spent every day with her mother. Finally, the long awaited birth day came and Kiara gave birth to three cubs. Sharifu was very happy with his siblings and looked after him all the time. He stopped meet with Chafu, forgetting about his friend.
Time passed. Simba and Nala died, and Sharifu, Zamaradi, Kahawia and Laana grown up. Laana, as the oldest of the litters, became the leader of the Lion Guard, and Kahawia was the leader of the hunting group. Zamaradi was the best fighting lion. Sharifu became more serious and cautious, taking seriously his future duties. One day, while walking, he came across an adult male hyena - Chafu. Old friends they knows, despite years. Sharifu was happy to meet, just like Chafu. From here, they often met on the border and talked about various topics.
