Nyota was born two days later than Kiara and Kovu's children. Nyota's mother belonged to a herd of Outlands that passed to Simba. Nyota always liked to be alone and therefore preferred to stay away from other cubs. She disappeared all day playing alone. When she was grown up, she became calmer and preferred to meditate rather than playing. A few months after Kovu's death and the coronation of the new ruler she came across Sharifu. Two lions, after initial shyness, began to talk to each other and soon discovered a common language. They spent more and more time together until Sharifu ask Nyota her paw, and she agreed to become his wife. The couple got married and from then on ruled the Pride Lands, wisely and justly.
